44-Year-Old Mother Gets Mistaken For Being Her Daughter’s Sister (Get GOGO Glow Now)

44-Year-Old Mother Gets Mistaken For Being Her Daughter’s Sister (Get GOGO Glow Now)

I would like to introduce the world to my funny, charming, beautiful sister Jennifer. Everywhere we go together we get compliments on our appearance. Guys will even try to ask us both out at the same time.

Here’s the thing though – she’s not really my sister….believe it or not she’s actually my MOM!!!

It’s kind of embarrassing that my 44-year-old mom looks as young as me. I can’t tell you the number of times she’s been mistaken for my being my sister… sometimes even my YOUNGER sister at that!

I’m only 25, so it’s unbelievable when we are out at dinner when a guy will start chatting her up… right next to me.

I’m not sure if I should be flattered or insulted when this happens (which is constantly). They’ll sometimes even ask me “is your sister single?” NO – she’s married…to my DAD!!!

When I tell people my mom's actual age (especially if they've met her), they still refuse to believe me...

People (especially men) think I’m messing with them, and can’t believe she is literally decades older than me. Since Jennifer has such a young and vibrant energy about her, I sometimes myself forget her actual age…I guess age is also a state of mind.

We use the same esthetician and she frequently tells my Mom that she has healthier skin than all their other clients (most of which are half her age). Her skin is dewy, plump, porcelain, and just glows.

There is no denying this woman is the absolute perfect example of aging flawlessly and radiating beauty both inside and out.

As I’ve grown older I’ve been fascinated by her ability to seemingly “not age” and so I started asking her how she keeps looking so young, year after year.

So how does Jennifer keep herself looking as young as me, year-after-year, when she is nearly double my age? Since I’ve got the same genes, I suppose I should look as good as her when I’m older.

I wish I could say “it’s all in the genes”….but the truth is IT’S NOT.

As long as I can remember, my mom has always been a huge fan of the show Baywatch. Her favorite “Baywatch Babe” is the beautiful actress/model/actress/ singer/dancer/author Carmen Electra.

She idolizes Carmen when it comes to beauty and skincare – she’s about the same age and has the exact same uncanny youthful appearance! Carmen was always an advocate for making your skincare a daily priority, something she also learned from her mother

Over time my mom has slowly turned into a devoted follower of Carmen’s skincare routine. She follows her on social media, and reads all her beauty articles to find out what products she’s using or skincare tricks she learned.

My mom always followed Carmen’s EXACT ROUTINE, using whatever products she could find at our local convenience store.

The secret was there all along – it’s Carmen!

When I asked Mom about how she’s managed to stay so beautiful for so long she jokingly said “it’s all in the genes” and then winked and laughed.

Then she told me the truth: she’s been following Carmen’s EXACT SKINCARE ROUTINE for over a decade.

Whatever products Carmen uses, she uses. Whatever process Carmen follows, she follows.

And the results CLEARLY speak for themselves.

Carmen actually just launched her new skincare line, GOGO, which incorporates THE EXACT PRODUCTS & STEPS she’s been using (and my Mom has been copying) for over a decade…I guess the secret is out!

The flagship product is the GOGO GLOW Serum , which has a concentration of 5% hyaluronic acid (when most others only have 2%) Having beautiful skin is really about keeping your skin properly hydrated and hyaluronic acid holds more than a thousand times its weight in water. It not only keeps your skin soft and supple, it also gives it that magic glow!

Since my Mom is a Carmen-worshipper she was one of the first to try GOGO. The moment she started using it her skin had another level of radiance and looked smoother than ever before. It really does look like she could be my sister – her skin looks THAT amazing.

Here’s a few of my Mom’s favorite tips that she’s learned from Carmen over the years that she wanted to share as well:

Mom's Top Secret Skin Tips

Tip #1:

Use Under Eye Cream On Lips

Use the same under eye cream on your lips as well. This will help keep your lips plump and nourished while helping to avoid lines.

Tip #2:

Never Neglect The Neck

One area that truly ages a person is their neck wrinkles. Many people forget to make sure to make their neck a part of their face routine making them look older quicker. Always add serums and moisturizers to the neck as well.

This has given these ladies an advantage when fighting against wrinkles, dark spots, dry skin, acne, blemishes, pores, and a smooth canvas for makeup while protecting and nourishing skin.

We all deserve beautiful skin just like my Mom & Carmen.

Now it’s not just my mom in the loop on Carmen’s skincare secrets. With the launch of GOGO GLOW mom has the same opportunity to keep their skin young and glowing for years to come.

If they’re lucky, they might even get mistaken for their daughter’s sister too…don’t say I didn’t warn you!
